1st Customer Review : Not too minty, but not sweet.
Who needs an entire box of mints??? -- That's what I thought when I was purchasing these. But all 8 packs were gone after my friends tried them in my car... and decided they loved it! It doesn't have the crazy shoots-up-your-nose minty taste like the Altoids, but it's also not really sugary and sweet either, where your whole mouth smells good afterwards, but is covered in gritty sugar.

They hold up well in the car, no melting or getting mushy like gum. I have a box at work, in the purse, in my car... it's also good at keeping me awake when I'm tired on the road.

I also like the fact that they are mints, and not gum. I can pop one in my mouth right before seeing someone, and it will have melted away before the actual meeting. No hunting for the wrapper to throw it away!

This is the second time my wife and I order these from Amazon. They are extremely hard to find and the one place that sold them, no longer carries them. They taste great, honestly the best mints available. I will continue to order these from Amazon.

1st Customer Review : Best Sinus Medicine Around
Once when driving on I 95 north, near New York City, I got a very bad sinus headache, it seemed to be caused by the Air Pollution. After the City was behind us I popped a couple Eclipse Peppermint gums in my mouth and began chewing. Within minutes my headache was gone. I prefer the Spearmint flavor and use it many times a week to clear up my sinuses. The car cup gum is cheaper and has less of the minty power, but it still works for me. If I am very congested I use the blister pack version because it has a much stronger taste and sinus clearing effect. Eclipse Gum and a Neti Pot should be considered "must have" medicine for anyone with allergies.

I love that this comes in a 4-pack. I keep one in my car, at home by the door and at my desk at work. The packaging is great, you can flip the cap or pour out gum through a small flap of the side.
3rd Customer Review : Horrid new taste
Watch out for the "new and improved taste" inscription on the package! I really liked Eclipse Spearmint gum, until they came up a couple of months ago with a "new improved taste" which is incredibly bad compared to the "old" one. I returned mine for a full refund. Funny thing is, the barcode on the package remained the same although now the gum tastes like ****, or, to put it mildly, like a completely new product. What were they thinking?!

2nd Customer Review : Multipurpose mints, thankfully available online; great recycleable containers
I live in a major U.S. city. You can't find these mints ANYWHERE though the gum seems to be available almost everywhere.

Thankfully, Amazon offers them. (Only negative is price. 1.2 oz tin even with amazon's somewhat discounted per-tin rate is still high IMHO.)

First used them as a breath mint and they were refreshing and not overpoweringly strong in the mouth (Peppermint is the only one I like.). Very important that they are sugar free given personal health considerations.

But the real value for me is how they help me combat "dry" mouth. I often find my mouth so dry that I start coughing really really hard. I pretty much always have water around but sometimes I'm somewhere where I can't just whip out a bottle. However, these mints work really well and start soothing and "moisturizing" my mouth and quickly help stop the cough.

When we attend theater or musical concerts, I always keep these in easy reach. No paper to unwrap, just a quick pop...

I have kept these mints in my car and at my bedside for several years. Suddenly the stores quit carrying them. Thank goodness I can get them online. I like them because they have a clean taste, leaving no aftertaste and my mouth feels clean. I've tried a lot of mints and Eclipse is still the best.

I don't like the idea of chewing gum when I talk to people, it makes you look like a cow and unprofessional. With my line of work, I have to have a mint.
