1st Customer Review : Tips on Xyla candies helps soothe in a number of medical situations
Hi All,

First of all, these experiences are my own. Your mileage may vary (YMMV), and I hope they do meaning I hope you are all in good health. :-) I apologize in advance about the long post.

No, I'm not trying to set some world record and I believe this is over the course of at least a year. I have two problems, extreme dry mouth from medication and occasional nausea for the same reason. Worst part is, bacteria love a dry environment, so I was getting multiple cavities (3+) at each visit despite my outstanding oral hygiene. It was all the dry mouth issue. I believe I have gone through 10 tins of the grape Ricochet candy, not to mention at least 4 tins each of the other fruited Ricochet candies. My checkups are now improving.

tastes fine and is definitely good if you need to reduce your carb intake. Just be careful to not eat too many or you will find that it acts like a stool softener/lubricant. Not fun... Also, don't let you dog get into these; it is lethal for dogs.

Our family loves all of the flavors in this variety pack except the lime one. The kids like the lime one, but my husband and I think it tastes like a cleaning product. All of the other flavors, though, were exceptional!

1st Customer Review : very refreshing little candy!
Researched and tried every xylitol hard candy in an attempt to alleviate dry mouth and save my teeth in the process. Xylitol candies are hard to come by and ones not made in China are even moreso. The Ricochet line is made in the US and is excellent quality. It is a dense little powdery "mint" as opposed to a hard candy - there must be a real difficulty in melting xylitol and making it into a "suckable" hard candy - so one has to get used to the more rapidly dissolving "powdery" kind. That said, this rasberry sour is by far the best flavor, but that might be just my personal preference. However, everyone in the family, from grandchildren to husband, all say "yes" when I offer them some! Even tho there's a hundred or so in the container. I get these on autoship because I never want to be without them.

2nd Customer Review : I prefer Xyloburst Berry mints...
These taste okay, but dissolve very fast. For Xylitol, I prefer Xyloburst Berry mints that take longer to dissolve, or you can chew them if you like.

It's like this - when I first got these, I over-ate them. The dentist says to consume 6-10 mg of Xylitol per day for your teeth. Each piece of these candies contains .4 mg, and 1 tin has 100 pieces, or 40 mg. Too much Xylitol isn't dangerous, but it can cause uncomfortable bowel changes, which is what happened to me. So now I'm more cautious about it.

My strategy now, is to have some candies that are easy to consume (like these) to get my 6-10 mg a day of Xylitol, as well as some other very yummy ones that have low Xylitol for the amount of time it takes to consume them, like Dr. John's lozenge shape hard candies or Sparx. 3rd Customer Review : Sweet & Tartilicious
These candies are shaped like Smarties, but are a little crumbly. They are nicely tart, which I find helps keep candy from being too cloying. I love that I can give these to my kids with a clear conscience, and that my afternoon sweets fix is good for my teeth!

1st Customer Review : Very satisfying
I've purchased Spry mints for a couple of years, but decided to branch out and try something new. I love the wintergreen Lifesavers, and these mints taste just like them without all the sugar. They are soft mints, but that just means I can chew them up without breaking a tooth! If you want a mint to suck for a long time, this may not be a good option. The only problem I have with these is that I want to eat too many--they are that good! These mints also take care of funny mouth tastes effectively, and promote a healthy level of saliva flow.

2nd Customer Review : Very small and quick dissolving
These Emerald Forest Xylitol Wintermints may meet your needs or may not. I tried them out because I was looking for a xylitol mint (for the dental/gum health benefits) that had xylitol as its primary ingredient. These fit the bill. They are moderately sweet but very mild on the mint side. The drawbacks for me are that they are very small and dissolve very quickly. I usually pop at least two at once because they are small, and they dissolve in the matter of a minute. If you are looking for a strong flavored mint that lasts more than a minute, these are not what you are looking for.
3rd Customer Review : Great taste, magical disappearing act.
I have ordered both the Wintergreen and Peppermint versions and for me, the flavors are excellent.
However, they perform a disappearing act--the mints dissolve so quickly that, as other reviewers have mentioned, makes them less gratifying and, consequently expensive.
I like them so much though, that, in spite of their short duration/gratification, I rate them 4, but be forewarned that they are expensive as a result.
