| — The Ghirardelli Story —
 In 1849, when Domingo Ghirardelli immigrated to the United States from his homeland of Italy, he had dreams of striking it rich in the California Gold Rush. He settled on opening a tent-store in Stockton, CA, selling various supplies and confections to fellow miners. With his new business proving successful, Domingo decided to open a store and hotel in San Francisco. After a major fire in 1851 destroyed his businesses, he began to rebuild. In 1852, he formed a new confectionery company that would soon become the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company.
Domingo would be proud to see how his chocolate company has not only grown, but flourished over the years. It started as a dream in the mid-1800s and it is now a thriving company and a leading brand of premium chocolate. |

I love this Ghirardelli Mint Chocolate. Perfect for after dinner or dessert. It tastes just right.This Ghirardelli Mint Chocolate tastes really good. The chocolate isn't too sweet nor too bitter. It is also not too creamy or milky. As far as the mint filling, it adds some more sweetness to the Chocolate, but at the same time the mint is very refreshing. Perfect to have after dinner or as dessert.
If you like Mint Chocolate, you might also want to try the After Eight Mint Chocolate. they are very good too. Also try the Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Chocolate which is kind of interesting taste (a combination of chocolate/dark chocolate with white chocolate and peppermint crust).

Dark and GoodI've been knocked right over tea-kettle after 2 serious ankle surgeries in 3 years; now it's injured again. I need dark chocolate. While I'm re-booted for weeks, for comfort I'm craving dark chocolate, especially combined with gooey mint. The quality of Ghirardelli dark chocolate is quite good, not too sweet, and neither is the peppermint filling. I thought I was ordering smaller bars,
Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares, Dark & Mint Filled, believing they were the same product in different quantities. They almost are, but these are larger bars. So the chocolate is thicker and the candy less delicate. But they're delicious dipped in steaming cups of
Celestial Seasonings Peppermint Tea. I also highly recommend the superb Finnish Fazermint, dark chocolate with mint cream. All of it's good for you!

Great!I received this item today and it came in great condition..with ice ice packs. Nice chocolate! I plan on using this with Mint flavored brownies.
