This stuff is tasty, gives you energy, is caffeine free, and organic - i drink several large mugs a day and it keeps me nicely hydrated. :-)
3rd Customer Review : Refreshing, yummy, great pick-me-up
I vowed to give up coffee for water, but it wasn't working. Then someone educated me on the virtues of teas -- and I have a cabinet full of about 20 different varieties to prove it! Octavia's Rainforest Mint Yerba Mate was my first foray in to loose tea, which I brew exactly as the tin instructs (boil water, but cool slightly to pour over tea infuser, cover, steep 3-4 minutes). I LOVE IT! With summer here, I use 2 infusers with 8-9 ounces of hot water, then add ice for a mid-day pick me up. Its perfect as is, just the right hint of mint and something else that keeps me from needing sweetener or having a bitter aftertaste. Now if only I could figure out how to make it 2 quarts at a time to serve to family and guests...

I don't know about the metabolism/weight loss aid it touts. It would be a great side perk, but for now I'm just happy to have a pleasant way to increase my "water" intake!

1st Customer Review : Delicious but... SOY AND MILK ALERT!!!
This tea is extraordinarily delicious but I didn't notice until I took a closer look at the label that the inrgedients do include milk and soy products. I know other vegans or folks who suffer with dairy or soy allergies would appreciate knowing this because I don't think it is mentioned in the product information. If it is, I missed it.

In spite of that oversight, I am not going to lower my rating of this tea. It really is exquisite and I will be delighted to serve it to guests even though I shouldn't indulge in it myself. (But I probably will indulge anyway because it is so very good and I am weak!)

The ingredients as stated on the label: rooibos, apple pieces, vanilla chips, 100% organic peppermint, chocolate & natural vanilla flavor (Contains milk and soy products)

This is the best tea. A friend introduced me to it years ago and I always order it when it is available. Try it, you will like it. What is nice is you can drink it in the evening since it is caffeine free.
