1st Customer Review : Sweet, intense & yummy!
These confections are small (about the size of the Smarties candy roll mints), a bit sweet, and powerfully flavored. The ingredients listed on the back of the container are simple: Xylitol, natural lemon oil, natural lime oil and natural tumeric powder. That's it.

There's 100 mints to a metal lidded container, similar in size and structure to the Altoids or the old metal Sucrets boxes. Fits nicely in your pocket or purse.

These won't affect glucose levels for diabetics as xylitol is metabolized independently of insulin.

Besides the lemon-line, licorice and peppermint flavors that Amazon currently carries, they also come in fruit punch, wintermint, and cocoa mint, which I hope Amazon will carry soon.

2nd Customer Review : Seems reasonably healthy
It was very difficult to find a breath freshner/ dry mouth candy that seems healthy and this is the best I have found and it comes in a very small size so you can pop it in discreetly. No "natural flavors" to be concerned about in this one either.

If you are looking for an all-natural mint without sugar, the xylitol-sweetened mints are pleasantly minty with a sweet burst of flavor. The mints crumble fast, have a cooling sensation and dissolve almost immediately after being crushed. These are not the type of mints you can suck on for any extended period of time and only serve to refresh the mouth immediately.

2nd Customer Review : Pretty cool mints
Ricochet Peppermints, 6pk of 100 pieces/1.48oz tins

Ingredients: Xylitol, Natural Peppermint Oil, Natural Hibiscus Powder (no Gum Arabic as incorrectly stated in above description)

This was my first time trying xylitol mints and I was not disappointed. They are very sweet & refreshing. They have a different sweetness than sugar, but it's not phony or sick tasting like some alternative sweeteners. I was surprised that the mints are light purple, but it's a natural coloring from hibiscus flowers. I do wish these mints were a little bigger. They are .42grams/each and the size and shape remind me of Smarties candies. They dissolve quickly, but that's probably because they're almost pure xylitol and have no added chemicals. They also make a lot of dust, but I can put up with that for the great ingredients. I was debating between these and Spry xylitol mints, but the Spry ones have calcium lactate and gum arabic. Plus they're made in China and Ricochet are...

These are probably the strongest mints I've tasted other than Smints. They are about the size and shape of a sweet tart. Like the previous reviews stated, they are kind of crumbly and dissolve quickly in your mouth. Good for a quick blast of mint to coat your mouth. If you're looking for a mint to suck on, you're better off with Spry.

1st Customer Review : Wonderful taste and will protect your teeth
I love licorice, and just the smell of these licorice mints when I opened the box from Amazon was heavenly... So was the taste! They didn't melt instantly in my mouth as another poster said, although they're small and won't last for long (mainly because other common ingredients to slow down disintegration are thankfully missing, so it's just xylitol and natural flavors). But the licorice flavor lingers for quite a while. Gosh, I can just sniff the container periodically for a quick fix.... :) You just can't go wrong with something that is just xylitol plus natural licorice extract, natural anise, and natural fennel oil - all my favorites!

I didn't buy them as candy (although I can see they will be quite suitable as a licorice fix when the craving hits) or as a "breath mint" but rather to use for preventive dental care, to help preserve and repair my teeth. I first tried these Ricochet Mints at work. The person in the cubicle next to me suggested I try them and I'm really glad I did. That fact that these mints are sugar free, have all natural ingredients in them, and that they taste great makes them a joy to eat every time I use them. The flavor is not so strong that you will hate it. In fact, I'm not a big licorice fan in general yet I love these mints. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who wants a decent breath mint.
